Lone Survivor: The True Story of Courage and Bravery
Have you ever thought to yourself how grateful and happy you were to be able to wake up each day in the comfort of your own home? While knowing you had the opportunity to accomplish your goals, and be given the freedom to achieve the feeling of success we all strive for. I believe it to be the most admirable trait that makes America the greatest Nation to live in. Fortunately, thanks to the courage and bravery of men like Marcus Luttrell, Michael Murphy, Danny Dietz, and Matthew Axelson the satisfaction of living freely and confidently is possible for us. Their heroic actions are taken for granted by most Americans, but for those in this nation like myself; that choose to work hard and make something out of yourself, their lives are forever in my memory and will be remembered for their selfless services to America. For that is why they fight for this country, it's about the man next to you and your friends and family, to fight for something you believe in and so young Americans like ourselves take advantage and work hard to make this world a greater place to live in.

The true story of United States Navy SEAL Team 10 is relived through the man who experienced the entire thing. Marcus Luttrell is the focal point of the action packed film Lone Survivor. It was 2005, in Afghanistan, the mission code-named Operation Redwing was tasked with Navy SEALs Marcus Luttrell (Mark Wahlberg), Michael Murphy (Taylor Kitsch), Danny Dietz (Emile Hirsch) and Matthew "Axe" Axelson (Ben Foster). They were deployed on a mission for surveillance and assigned to take out Taliban leader Ahmad Shah. Although their mission was short lived once spotted by goatherds (Afghan villagers), Luttrell and his team decided not to kill them; a choice that will haunt Luttrell the rest of his life. Due to one of the Afghans alerting a group of Taliban fighters to the invading SEALs, a terrible battle ensues, in which the SEALs find themselves hopelessly outnumbered and outgunned.
